Hope Works! is an opportunity to be a good neighbor to those who are in recovery from and fighting substance use disorders aka addictions in the Metro Richmond area. We are serving 100s of people who are in local sober living recovery homes in about 20+ different houses and growing! This is an opportunity for you and your family and friends, your small group, your church, or business to join us in being good neighbors and friends.
You can join us in Art and Recovery with women and other women’s gatherings, joining us with our upcoming men’s gathering called SlingShot, under pilot now! or we can explore other things you may be interested in!
This is a way to LOVE them…
- supply practical needs such as sheets and blankets, food, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and more.
- share a meal or play games or host nights as ways to build community and friendships
- get to know the house peer leaders and the specific needs of the house
- some of our current volunteers have helped plant small vegetable gardens, hosted bible studies, or simply had coffee with the leader or other residents as relationships develop.
