We are locking arms (and strapping into parachutes!) to raise vital funds for Into The Neighborhood. Whether you want to skydive from 14,000 feet or support firmly from the ground, there is a place for you in this mission.
A Message from Our Event Organizer, Kat Beatty
“I’m taking a leap for recovery! Into the Neighborhood does so much for the men and women in recovery throughout Richmond, and I can’t think of a more deserving nonprofit to support.
For those of you who don’t know me, l am a person in long term recovery. For me, that means I have not used any mind- or mood-altering substances since January 2023. Recovery has completely changed my life. It has given me back so much more than addiction ever took away. Today, I am a better mother, a better partner, reliable, trustworthy, and a valued member of my community.
I am passionate about recovery because I want others to know that it is possible. There is a better way to live, and recovery is worth every step of the journey. So, in honor of those we have lost to addiction and those who are still struggling, I am taking the leap. I’m inviting everyone to join me in supporting Into The Neighborhood in honor of National Recovery Month, September 2026!”
Event Details & Goals
Join people in recovery, families, friends, and allies as we take a literal and figurative Jump for Hope.
- Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
- The Leap: Tandem skydiving from 14,000 feet!
- Our Goal: $14,000 to fund community transformation and recovery support right here in Metro Richmond.
How it Works:
To help us hit our $14,000 goal, we are asking each registered skydiver to commit to a personal fundraising goal or personal gift.
Not a fan of heights? No problem! You can absolutely register as a “ground support” fundraiser without jumping. We even have some fun contest prizes lined up for our top fundraisers!
An Extra Bonus from Our Partners!
Our friends at Skydive Orange are jumping in to help! They will generously donate $25 for every person who registers, pays in full, and completes the jump.
