Mardi Bras RVA

  • Collection Site
    • Host collections of bras, underwear, pads and tampons for women who have a low/restricted income, are homeless or incarcerated.

Miss Marti’s House

  • Assist with building relationships in the Southern Barton Heights Neighborhood through many community-building activities such as:
    • New Years Eve Open House and Brunch
    • Easter Egg Hunt
    • Memorial Day Community Cookout
    • Camp Splash – week-long Vacation Bible School
    • Halloween – Front Yard Party
    • Regular Service Days to Clean Up and Care for Local Playgrounds and Community Space
    • And more!

Richmond City Justice Center

  • Discipleship
    • Disciple Maker –
      • Commit to 1-2 times a month.
      • Read assigned scripture throughout the week and help to facilitate discussion about what you and others learned.
      • Encourage everyone and model sharing the scripture with others throughout the week.
      • Pray with and for one another.
  • Jobs for Life
    • Champion –
      • Commit to 8 weeks, Monday and/or Thursday Nights
      • Encourage and mentor participants
    • Instructor –
      • commit to facilitating 2-4 classes
    • Business Leaders, Managers and Owners plus HR Management/Recruiters
      • Business Leader Panel
        • Participate in a panel, allowing participants to ask questions about your work/business
      • Mock Interviews
        • Act as a hiring manager/recruiter in mock interviews, allowing participants to practice interviewing, and provide constructive feedback to the participant
      • Hiring Manager
        • Be willing to hiring Jobs for Life Graduates.
      • Advocate with other leaders to hire graduates

  • Legal Advice to advise Into The Neighborhood in areas such as housing, employment, potential business ventures, etc.
  • Commercial Real Estate advice – as we seek to expand our space in the near future and beyond.
  • Administrative assistance – tracking JfL Candidates, volunteers, and more.
  • Social Services/Case Management/Advocates
  • Couple/Marriage/Family Mentors
  • Additional leadership
    • Jobs for Life classes inside the RCJC and out, as we serve neighbors and families of the RCJC residents.
    • Potential social entrepreneurial endeavors.
    • Other potential programs such as family and relationship enhancement
